Tour
video of the 2005 campaign
Under
the motto “Bringing European Road Safety Together -
a Tour in Europe”, 22 National Red Cross Societies aimed
at encouraging individuals, communities, businesses and governments
to make pledges to improve road safety.
The
tour consisted of four cars simultaneously travelling through
each participating country, followed by members of Red Cross
National Societies delivering road safety and first aid events
and messages in public places. All in all, the tour encompassed
119 days, 230 events across Europe, 24 countries and 55,000
kilometres converging on Brussels for a final event in September
2005.
